Our volunteers help with:
* Marking trails before the race
* Sweeping trails
* Racer support (meet and greet)
* Pre-race and race day registration
* Timing
* Snacks, food and beverage distribution
* Marshals on the course
* Aid station personnel
We are always looking for great volunteers to help make our events the best! If you want to be part of these events but will not be
racing, or you just want to come and support a friend or family member, we would be excited to have you on our dedicated team
that makes these races possible!  Please email with your availability or interest(s) for a specific event at info@scarsports.com.

Eco Runner/Biker Volunteer

According to Ecologyrunner.com, Sam Huber writes "Eco-Running combines physical fitness and environmental sustainability.
Simply put, Eco-running is the variation of recreational running in which the participant collects the litter that is found along the path

SCAR Sports is now offering the Eco Runner/Biker volunteer position at each of our events. Register at www.Active.com or by
mail just as you would for any of our events. Your $35 registration fee will be reimbursed at the conclusion of your event
responsibilities. Non refundable if you do not show up to the event.  Responsibilities will include assisting with early morning set
up and registration. Once the last race begins, Eco Runner/Biker volunteers will either walk, run or bike the course collecting any
garbage/signage along the trail. We want to leave as little impact on our race location as possible and depend on the efforts of
our Eco Runner/Biker volunteers.

As a Thank You for volunteering as an Eco Runner/Biker, you will receive a free entry into any future SCAR Sports event, as well
as an official Eco Runner shirt, along with the same event shirt and goodie bags our other racers receive. You will also be eligible
