Sierra-Cascade Adventure Racing Sports presents The Northstar at Tahoe™ Nirvana Mountain Trail Run at Northstar at Tahoe™ Ski Resort on
Saturday, August 16, 2008 in beautiful Lake Tahoe with great views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierras. The course will be single-track and  double-
track trails. The 10k course will be scenic and challenging with long ascents, including a near summit of Pluto and then a ride back down the
mountain on the Ski lifts and Gondola.

Sierra-Cascade Adventure Racing Sports provides scenic courses, well-stocked aid stations, clearly-marked trails and GPS-measured courses.
All participants will receive great shirts and an award ceremony with refreshments and raffle giveaways will follow the event. Awards will be given
to the top three athletes in each  age-groups Category: 18 & Under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70
and over+. The overall top 3 male and female athletes will receive a complimentary single event entry into their choice of races
directed by Sierra-Cascade Adventure Racing Sports.



















Packet Pickup, Race-Day Registration/Check-In and Parking

Packet pick-up and registration will be on race day from 7:00 am to 8:30 am at the Northstar Village at the Village Overlook. Free parking will be
available at the Village View Lot, which is located near the Village Overlook.

First Aid, Water Stations, Restrooms and Spectators

First Aid, Water and Refreshment Stations will available at the Start/Finish, with water and refreshment stations mid-way through 10k. Restroom
facilities will be available at the Start/Finish area. Spectators are welcome and can enjoy the best viewing of the event from the Start/Finish area.
Free Rides are available at the Gondola  for friends and family.

Registration

Registration is through www.active.com.  If the event is not filled, you can register in person during posted racer check-in. Unfortunately, we
cannot offer race refunds or transfer funds to other races events.  

Rules and Regulations

Run numbers must be visible during the entire run and when crossing the finish line. Please bring out everything you take on the run with you!
For the safety of all, we do not allow dogs, baby/child joggers, Ipods, MP3 players, etc.
Event Fees prior to July 16, 2008 (add $5.00 after July 16, 2008)

From the Bay:
Go East on Interstate 80 for roughly 3 hours, Take Highway 267 Exit #188B. This is the new by-pass route. It is just after the last Truckee Exit,
Travel South on Highway 267 for approx. 6 miles and turn Right onto Northstar Dr.

From Reno:
Go West on Interstate 80 for roughly 30 minutes (30 miles), Take Highway 267 Exit #188
Travel South on Highway 267 for approx 6 miles,Turn Right onto Northstar Dr.

From South Lake Tahoe Via West Shore:
Travel West on Highway 50,Merge on Highway 89 North,Turn Right in Tahoe City at T, Turn Left onto Highway 267, Turn Left onto Northstar

From South Lake Tahoe via East Shore:
Start out going East on Lake Tahoe Blvd/Highway 50 for approx. 12 miles,Turn LEFT onto Nevada 28 towards Incline Village. Continue for 17
miles,Turn Right onto Highway 267. Continue for 6 miles.
